Chrissy has obtained the level of Clinical Herbalist, and is continuing her education to become a Medical Herbalist. Her fascination with the power that plants and specifically mushrooms hold started when she became an adult, and had to take care of her own health. This sparked a love for all things nature which she shares with anyone who will listen!

Chrissy is permaculture minded and takes pride in turning her ¼ acre home in the city into a growing food forest with edible weeds, shrubs, and trees for her family and chickens to enjoy. It's not just outside where cultivation takes place. In her home, a room has been transformed into a functional mushroom grow room and lab.

Moms everywhere are always busy and that is definitely true for this mom of two young boys. She home schools her littles with a special emphasis on understanding and respecting nature. In her eyes, everyone should be able to identify more plants than brand names in their environment. When a child learns which plant in their yard to use when they suffer an ant bite, it is extremely empowering for them. This knowledge teaches children to be self sufficient, and promotes independence that can serve them a lifetime.
